Elaine was born in Mabou, Cape Breton. It was her Mom & grandmother's artistic abilities that inspired her, especially their beautifully colored hooked and braided matts.
Elaine lived in Calgary, Regina
and now back in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. It was in Regina where she started using her artistic abilities.
She spent a number of years making petit point pictures, some of which she sold to a wool and thread store. She also made wreaths and tole paintings which she sold to a framing/art store.
